The Mountain Makerspace is a group of High Country Folks based in Boone NC. We are working to establish a collaborative workspace where people can come together to create, learn, and share.
We believe in developing local solutions to universal problems in a supportive, vibrant and inclusive community that shares tools and experience among members. We aim to promote innovation and stimulate economic development in our community through job training, education, cross-generational exchange, and the creation of a collaborative workspace community.
Phase one of the Mountain Makerspace initiative is the creation of a tool library. Tools are essential to problem solving and creative expression. The Mountain Makerspace tool library includes training and access to a large variety of tools. It is a valuable asset for members to maintain their personal property or enrich their capacity for creative expression, allowing members to participate in a sharing economy, fix things, and bring creative ideas into reality.
